Capizzi (known by the ancients as Kapition, Capitium, Urbs or Civitas Capitina) is an Italian town of 3,130 inhabitants of the metropolitan city of Messina in Sicily. It is a municipality of the Nebrodi Park. The inhabitants are called “Capitini”, in the dialect “Capizzuoti”. The emblem of the city represents a warrior with armor and pleilus, truncated arms, ready to defend his country anyway: “Truncate your arms, we will stab with the chest”.
